Told entirely in the language of the energetic, pragmatic five-year-old Jack, “Room” is a celebration of resilience and the limitless bond between parent and child, a brilliantly executed novel about what it means to journey from one world to another.
I loved this book. What an absolutely novel (no pun intended) idea to write about. I credit the author for her originality in creating this pint sized narrator and for her ability to conjure up the space they lived in. I loved her structure, her stories and her ingenuity to help Jack grow. ย I would love to see a sequel in five years to find out what happens to little Jacker Jack that I’ve grown to care so much about.
