Everything We Keep was a fast paced romantic mystery. I found myself flipping the pages furiously to find out the answers to the many twists that ensued throughout the novel.

There were many things I liked about this book and quite a few I didnโ€™t. With that being said, itโ€™s a hard book to review with out giving away spoilers. In a nutshell, Iโ€™ll just say Aimee, the main protagonist, was not the brightest bulb in the box, perhaps even the dimmest. That was extremely annoying! There were several instances where I just wanted to slap her because she ignored the clues right in front of her.

I was quite intrigued with the different diagnoses presented for personality disorders and thought they worked well in this story. Iโ€™m actually surprised I havenโ€™t read about these disorders more often as they do make for a good vehicle to explain abrupt changes in a characterโ€™s life.

Not only is this a suspenseful romance, thereโ€™s also a mighty big love triangle involved. For those of you doing my 2016 Book Challenge, I took off reading a love triangle because many of you struggled with it in 2015. Well, hereโ€™s one for next year perhaps!

Overall, if youโ€™re looking to be consumed in an engaging, suspenseful romance and donโ€™t want to think too hard about the details and the likelihood or reality of this happening, then this is your book!

Quotes I liked:

Iโ€™d been rushing to a finish line, and Iโ€™d failed to enjoy the run along the way.โ€

-โ€œI think your work likes you. You find beauty where others donโ€™t see it. Or rather, they choose to ignore.โ€
