My Review: 3.5 stars
Perhaps my hopes were too high for this novel and that’s why I bumped it down from 4 stars to only 3. I think when I’m told i’ll be swept off my feet, i am then easily disappointed. The author’s imagination was wonderfully portrayed as I truly could see a ragged doll hand fused onto Pressia and hear the birds beating in Bradwell’s back.
I didn’t come to truly care for the cast of characters until late in the book when the action picked up. I look forward to book 2 to learn how these young adults come to age and conquer the evil Pures.
